Apart from acting, Maciek's other performance-related passion is  IMPROV COMEDY.

He discovered it years ago and was instantly drawn to it, even though (or perhaps because) improv is a completely different kind of  stagecraft. Improv is the on-stage result of performers imaginations co-operating live, without rehearsing anything at all. It's creating a scene, a situation, eventually a story in front of the audiences eyes, with no editing and no second takes. It is freestyling the characters, the words, the setting and the atmosphere. It's taking it from your colleagues and adding yourself to it. It's jazz.

 

For more than ten years of training and performing, Maciek attended multiple improv courses and workshops, performed at many festivals, including the New York Musical Improv Festival in 2018 and Warsaw Improv Festival in 2018. And - as a member of the house team of KLUB KOMEDIOWY in Warsaw, which is the first venue dedicated to improv comedy in Poland - Maciek can be seen performing on stage almost every week.
